The First Phase Document-reviewing Executed by the Department Committee

  1. Application packets should include proofs of college GPAs, a study plan, two letters of recommendation, Chinese and English proficiency certificate, and any other publications for favorable reviews.
  2. The evaluation score of all application materials should be 60 or above for an applicant to be eligible for the second phase.

The Second Phase Document-reviewing Executed by the Department Committee

  1. Two writing exams: Chinese and English. The scores for both exams should be 60 or above for an applicant to be eligible for an oral exam.
  2. One oral exam: If applicants can't participate in the oral exam in person, telephone interviews or video conferences will be arranged.

The Total Score and Admission

  1. The total score is calculated based upon the application materials evaluation (40%), writing exams (40%), and one oral exam (20%).
  2. An applicant must receive a total score of 70 or above to be included in the rank list. Admissions will be given to those applicants whose ranks are within the total number of students who'd be admitted.
